Dana and Garrett's story is a testament to fate and life's perfect timing!

Little did they know, Dana and Garrett spent almost 8 years living just 2 miles from each other. Dana had grown up in Lafayette and was currently living there, while Garrett had moved to Walnut Creek from Edmond, Oklahoma in 2013.

Despite their proximity to each other, visiting the same restaurants and walking down the same streets in downtown Walnut Creek over the years, they were not destined to meet until nearly a decade later. As 2020 was drawing to a close, fate in the form of modern dating technology stepped in - Garrett sent a message to Dana on New Year's Eve...and the rest is history!

As their first handful of dates in January 2021 turned to weeks and then months spent together, Dana and Garrett found they were a wonderful match, their similarities and differences harmonizing as perfect complements to each other. As their lives intertwined, going on local adventures around the Bay Area, making memories on trips all over the country, getting to know each others' family and friends, and spending tons of quality time together just living life in this beautiful and crazy world, they fell deeply in love.

After 3 exciting years together, on the most amazing moment during a trip to their favorite place, Lake Tahoe, Garrett got down on one knee under the snow-covered pines and asked Dana to marry him...Dana said, YES!
